Where To Buy Korean Skincare Canada (In-Store & Online)

Update Oct 2023: If you’re on the East Coast, I’d recommend checking out this new shop I found called Esmea.ca! They’re based in Montreal (so expect fast shipping times, I’m in BC and got my order within the week), and they’ve got a great selection of the most popular brands. I’ve found the Needly toner pads (review here), Beauty of Joseon (review here), and a lot of stuff I wasn’t able to find in stores here.

Korean skincare is becoming more and more popular and it’s NOT just a trend. Korea is literally the beauty destination of the world and its skincare philosophy is centered around healthy, hydrated skin. There are literally hundreds upon thousands of brands to choose from so there’s definitely something for everyone.

I can go on and on about kbeauty… if you want to know any of my recommendations as a bridal makeup artist, read here for a list of my all-time favorite skincare and makeup products.

And then if you’re in BC - best bets to purchase kbeauty would be to go to one of H-Mart or T&T:

H-MART - DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER, LOUGHEED, PORT-COQUITLAM, RICHMOND LOCATIONS

Downtown Vancouver Robson H-Mart carries a large selection of korean skincare and makeup products (prices are a bit inflated from what you might find online - Amazon, Yesstyle, StyleVana etc, but you can sign up with Hmart to collect points *side note they have really yummy kimbap and snacks too while you’re there lol)

Brands carried:

  • Large selection of Cosrx skincare - their low pH cleanser (reviewed here), pimple stickers, BHA lotion (reviewed here)

  • Innisfree skincare lines - orchid line (eye cream reviewed here), green tea line, olive line, etc

  • Banila Co cleansing balms

  • Missha BB Cream, brushes & tools

  • Various other skincare brands and LOTS of sheet masks

  • Nature Republic aloe vera gels

  • Clio eyeliners, kill cover concealer, kill cover liners

  • Tony Moly

  • Ryo Shampoos

  • Richmond H-Mart carries: Innisfree lines, Skin Food Peach Emulsion, Rice Daily Brightening Cleansing Water, Lettuce & Cucumber line products, Dr Jart Cicapair (limited selection compared to Richmond T&T tho), Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencils (love these), Haruto acne pimple patches, Shiseido eyelash curler, Miche Bloomin’ liquid eyeliner and gel liner (haven’t tried these yet), 3CE & Peripera eyeshadow palettes (limited selection), Peripera Ink Mood Matte lipsticks in 03, 04, 06, 07, and a few Loaker lip tints.

T&T - CHINATOWN, METROTOWN, LANDSDOWNE, OSAKA, COQUITLAM

Most locations only have some skincare and tools. Chinatown T&T has a decent selection but Metrotown T&T and especially Richmond Lansdowne Centre T&T has the largest selection of Japanese and Korean asian makeup products:

  • Miche Bloomin Lashes (#6 is really pretty)

  • IOPE cushions

  • Hera (cushions mostly)

  • Missha (Select items, I’ve seen the M Perfect Cover BB Cream at the Chinatown location)

  • Banila Co cleansing balms

  • Clio - Kill cover liner, concealer

  • Innisfree skincare (sometimes they carry value packs with minis sets, so cute)

  • Innisfree eyebrow pencils

  • Laneige skincare (they currently have a few cute sets, including a set of the lip sleeping masks)

  • Nature Republic pencils

  • SANA New Born eyebrow pencils (this is a Japanese favourite)

  • VDL primers

  • Etude House Play 101 Contour Duos

  • Marvis

  • Osaka T&T (update from Jan 2023): This store has more color cosmetics now! And less crowded than the Landsdowne location. They have 3CE eyeshadow palettes (and a decent selection of lippies) in All Nighter, Dry Bouquet and Overtake (love this one!). Also in stock is Too Cool For School shading palettes, Etude House Loacker Berry Eyeshadow, Vanilla Eyeshadow, Napo blush, and only 2 tints. I’m really excited because they are also stocking AMORTALS makeup puffs (these are amazing), and some UNNY Club (a few individual eyelash boxes too)!

*Thanks to KY Trading LTD at perfectskinstation.com for this info, they are a wholesaler based in Richmond BC!

Where to buy Korean skincare online Canada

Here are some e-commerce KBeauty store options I’ve used or heard of before! I used to mainly purchase from StyleVana because they have a really great selection and the best prices generally, but their customer service is basically non-existent and it takes 3+ weeks for shipping. If you can wait, great. If you can’t, then you should check out Amazon and also Esmea.ca (based in Montreal). Esmea ships super quickly and if you’re on the East Coast especially, it’ll get to you in a couple of days and they have a great selection!

Amazon

This is my favourite option, but be careful of fakes!! Yes, there are definitely fakes. Look for official stores and reputable resellers when you can: I’ve found Klairs Official Store, Cosrx’ Official Store, and various well reviewed stores that sell various brands.

StyleVana

StyleVana is an awesome option if you’re purchasing more than a few things. I usually will always purchase from here now because they have the best selection for both kbeauty and Japanese products, best prices and lower minimums for free shipping. They almost always have a sale running too.

If there’s a product you need, there’s a great chance StyleVana has it. Free shipping on orders CAD$85 and over (7-14 Business Days).

Take a look at their stock status to see how quickly it will be processed, usually, if it’s “In-Stock” it will be processed and shipped out within 24 hours. Their shipping is usually faster than YesStyle, which is why I started purchasing more frequently from here. YesStyle takes at least a month and a half for me.

Sukoshi Mart

I have not purchased from here before but know of this store! If you’re out on the east coast I think shipping times will be a lot faster for you here. Apart from a lot of cute plushies and things, they carry all the popular skincare brands like COSRX, IUNIK, Round Lab, Klairs, Purito, AXIS-Y, but also many of the korean makeup brands too (ROM&, Peripera, japanese brand Miche Bloomin’ lashes).

Minimum for free shipping is $65 CAD and they have an introductory 10% off.

(I’d check out both StyleVana and here because most of the time StyleVana is still cheaper, but some of the popular makeup shades might be out of stock).

Mikaela Beauty

Since 2016, Mikaela Beauty prides themselves on being one of the first and only approved Canadian retailers for many KBeauty brands such as: Beauty of Joseon, Benton, Klairs, By Wishtrend, I’m from, Mizon and Son & Park. Each product that arrives at their facility, directly from South Korea, has been registered through Health Canada to confirm both its authenticity and skin safety.

They also offer reward points as they work towards their mission in providing affordable high quality Korean beauty products. They offer:

Free Expedited Shipping (1-6 Business Days) for orders CAD$65 and over

Free Xpresspost (1-3 Business Days) for orders CAD$150 and over

YesStyle

With a massive selection to choose from and lots of sales, YesStyle is also a backup option if you’re unable to find what you’re looking for from the sites stated above. Also great for bulk stock-ups.

However, they are notorious for long (I’m talking up to or over 4 week long) shipping periods. Free Shipping is provided on orders CAD$115 and over.

Skin TO

I’ve never personally ordered from them before but have heard of them:

With over 30 brands to choose from, Skin TO started as a passion project by a Torontonian who felt Toronto’s KBeauty scene needed a little makeover itself, focused on great customer service, fast shipping, and readily available top KBeauty brands like Beauty of Joseon, Some by Mi, Apieu, SKIN1004, Laneige, Innisfree and more.

3 Shipment Options Below:

1. Free pick up downtown and Markham

Available at: First Markham Place Sundays at 12pm / Downtown Toronto by College Station Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm (Wednesdays only through Jul/Aug)

2. Local Weekend Delivery

Available in the GTA for $5. Deliveries are once a week on a rotating basis between the east and west side of the GTA.

3. Shipping

Postal runs twice a week. Fees:
