12 Best Places To Buy Wedding Dresses Vancouver in 2024

There are more and more options in Vancouver for wedding dresses now! I’ve included what I can below with some affordable and online options below as well. If you know of more great local store/designer finds, please comment and share!

Update: I’ve made a list of where to find bridal accessories too :)

Wedding Dresses Vancouver - Where to Start

It can be a daunting task to begin dress shopping - there’s so many different style differences between each designer’s collections, then there’s what each store might curate, and what you (and your bridal party) actually have time to try on.

As a bridal makeup artist - I’d suggest actually going to some of the bigger bridal shops first (even if they require paid appointments), just to try on a range of silhouettes and fabrics and styles to narrow down what you might be looking for. Plan for 1 exploratory day (keep your mind open!!), and another shopping day after that (since you might be choosing more specific stores with the styles you like).

#1 Bisou Bridal

Bisou has a wide variety of styles ranging from classic to more high fashion evening wear dresses, really large selection of designers! Price range is from mid $2000~ and above and they have some sale options. They do require you to pay for appointments, but they serve your bridal party champagne so it’s a fun time!

#2 Rituals of Love

Located in a very sketchy area just past Gastown Vancouver, this place has wonderful charming vibes once you enter in for your appointment! Sam, the owner and also a stylist there, has amazing, modern taste and she curates a beautiful selection of designs!!

They actually stock some of O M Couture’s designs (local designer) there along with Bo & Luca, Dan Jones, Newhite, Something Blue (made in Vancouver).

They do require you to pay for appointments as well, but also serve champagne ;).

#3 Truvelle

Truvelle is based right here in Vancouver, BC and they create simple, chic made-to-order dresses with a heavy emphasis on design, fit, and quality. Their silhouettes are sleek and effortless, designed for the confident, easy-going bride.

price range: ~$3000

Wedding Dresses Vancouver #4 OUMA (formerly O M COUTURE)

OUMA is a bridal designer and boutique located in Vancouver’s Gastown. Each dress is specifically tailored by designer and founder, Ou Ma, to bring your wedding dreams to life. Her designs embody timeless elegance and high-fashion-inspired designs.
price range: ~$2000-$6000

Wedding Dresses Vancouver #5 Everly Bridal

Everly Bridal - More simple, modern, elegant silhouettes - price range: made-to-order collection ranges from $1700 to $5500. The majority of dresses are between $2500-3500

Wedding Dresses Vancouver #6 Union Bridal

Union Bridal - Also located in Gastown Vancouver, curated designer gowns from all over the world, reasonably priced as well.

Wedding Dresses Vancouver #7 Luxx Nova

Located near Yaletown, Luxx Nova has some very unique gowns from renowned international designers like Natalia Romanova (featured on the right), Ange Etoiles, Blammo-Biamo and more. If you love european romantic styles and one of a kind dresses, you have to check out their selection!

I highly recommend booking an appointment here if you’re in the early stages of shopping - be prepared to really change your mind as you’re actually trying on styles.

Honestly if you know (even if there’s an inkling in your heart) you want a romantic, elegant, luxurious, blow-everyone-away type of style, you owe it to yourself to get that perfect dress!!

Price range: ~$3000+

Wedding Dresses Vancouver #8 David’s Bridal

Located way out in Langley, this is a place not to skip out on if you’ve got time and you’re on a budget. David’s Bridal has a massive, massive collection of dresses. It’ll be a whole day thing, easily but from their online reviews, it seems like their stylists are very helpful! Their prices are going to be a lot better compared to the options downtown, and their selections are going to be more up to date compared to what’s available in New West.

#9 Wedding Dresses Online: The Afterwhite

If you’re looking to shop local (but want more options than what you can find in stores here), check out The Afterwhite. Based in Alberta, The Afterwhite is your one-stop bridal store with a variety of accessories and curated picks by occasion, event style, The Afterwhite is very much worth checking out for really chic options!

price range: ~$400-$3000

#10 Wedding Dresses Online: Reformation

The dresses from Reformation are absolutely beautiful. A bit more on the pricey side and not as many options, considering you can’t really try on before you purchase, but they do have a free shipping & return policy in case you’d like to return via mail.

#11 Wedding Dresses Online: Bone & Grey

The Founder of Bone and Grey Bridal, Joy, is Canadian Chinese (now based in Singapore) and actually started this as a passion project when she was looking for her own wedding gown - one that was minimal, modern, and one she wouldn’t feel guilty buying for an one-day event. They have a selection of beautiful but also very reasonably priced ready to wear gowns from $300 CAD and also offer made-to-order gowns from their small batch studios in Singapore and China.

#12 Affordable Wedding Dresses Online: Windsor

Surprisingly, Windsor has as pretty wide range of affordable white dresses on their site, a mix of formal and more casual styles. Definitely worth checking out and while reading some of the comments, there have been some good choices for the wedding day!

*I’d recommend avoiding the satins though sometimes that could look too cheap or wrinkle easily if the material is thinner.

I’ll link a couple options here:

Note on shipping BHLDN dresses over to Vancouver

For the girlies looking to purchase from BHLDN online and then shipping it to Vancouver, you will have to pay duties on the dress (usually around 18%). According to Reddit, the “duty is more expensive because the dresses are not made in North America.

  1. Duty is non-refundable, so if you return the dress, that money is just gone. And it’s a lot of money.

  2. Duty is calculated on the total price of the dress, so that’s total in CAD including tax.”

So with the exchange rate and then also tax and duties, might not be worth it to order from there unless you’re shipping to a PO/friend and picking up (but keep in mind you’ll still have to pay tax on the dress crossing the border)!

And that’s all for now!

More shops and details to be added later :) please drop a comment below if you have any additional suggestions!
