21 Best Outdoor Wedding Venues Vancouver 2023

If you’re planning for an outdoor wedding next year, these are some of the best places to check out in Vancouver, BC! I’ve also included places that also have an indoor area as well for reception options.

As a makeup artist working at these venues, I don’t have photos I personally took, so I’ve linked out to their websites + their own galleries for pictures! If you have any additional suggestions or questions please comment below!

Update: I have some new guides up if you’re currently also shopping for dresses and accessories in Vancouver!

#1 Best outdoor wedding venue: Sea to Sky

This a bit of a drive from downtown Vancouver. But IMO this is one of the most EPIC mountain + sea views you can get and I think it captures the very essence of BC.

After taking the gondola up, there’s various platforms as well as a restaurant area, and then various trails, small walks to explore the peak area.

This photo is taken by Beige Weddings at a wedding on one of the platforms at the peak. More info about the venue + bookings can be found at: https://www.seatoskygondola.com/

#2 Best outdoor wedding venue: Hycroft Manor

If you’re looking for the fairy tale wedding of your dreams with a view, this is it. This Edwardian mansion is in Old Shaughnessy in Vancouver and is home to the University Women’s Club. This place is massive with two lawn options and a covered option to hold your ceremony.

#3 Best outdoor wedding venue in Vancouver: Cecil Green Park House

This is a super popular choice of a mix between indoor + outdoor. The Cecil Green Park House has elements of lush greenery + old cottage mansion vibes too. It’s really similar to Brock House in my opinion, minus the ocean views but a little more affordable (general pricing is around $3k for daytime or $3.5k for nighttime bookings in high season, and then I believe it’s mandatory that you get their catering options if you want food).

This photo is from their website, their Google listing also has some pretty accurate photos too.

#4 Outdoor wedding venue in Vancouver: Brock House

Brock house is definitely another really popular option, near Point Grey facing English Bay and offers amazing views of the waters and the North Shore Mountains. You’ll be able to hold your ceremony on the grass and usually there are tents set up outside (inside the restaurant for buffet style tables) for dinner reception + dancing. The interior is super elegant, older, mansion vibes and has large windows for really classic getting ready photos.

Photo from the Brock House website.

The photo here is of the restaurant inside the garden: Shaughnessy Restaurant.

Outdoor wedding venue #5: VanDusen Botanical Garden

The outdoor garden is beautiful for photos or the ceremony.

Of the three options for outdoor locations at the Garden: The Great Lawn, Heron Lake or Meadow Pond - Heron Lake is probably the nicest and most serene.

If you’re not booking a location within the garden, the entry fee per person for the garden is $7.20 and then for room rental (two options: Peggy Woodland B, or Floral Hall) please call 604-257-6915

The Shaughnessy Restaurant also has an event room, call 604-261-0011.

Secret budget-friendly outdoor wedding venues in Vancouver

6. Point Grey Community Centre (like Brock House but on a budget) - they have the Mansion, oak room rental fee is $100 per 2 hours, or the garden location, rental fee is $35 per hour

7. Queen’s Park’s Rose Garden - New Westminster - 604 777 5111 (owned by the city so the rate is lower), this might be good for a signing ceremony as there’s not much room to change/get ready/host guests.

8. UBC Rose Garden - free to use for a quick signing ceremony.

#9 outdoor wedding venue in Greater Vancouver: Fraser River Lodge

Okay, from here on out we’re going to go a bit further out from the city center, BUT I mean look at the VIEW. It is so worth it.

For anyone looking for something with wide open greenery and space, Fraser River Lodge is HUGE. This photo is of the field option, but if you have a smaller group, the deck area is also really nice.

Photo from the Fraser River Lodge website, but highly recommend searching them on IG - you’ll find nicer photos.

#10 indoor and outdoor wedding venue: Bridlewoods Event Centre

This gem is a recent find - located in Chilliwack, this venue is surrounded by nature, the mountains, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It appears to be a bit of a larger, elegant, venue.

More photos here from their website

#11 outdoor wedding venue: Ancient Cedars Lodge

A boutique wedding venue that has recently been built, this is a gem located in Pemberton (very far but this place is absolutely beautiful! And there is lodging options for guests as well.

Their website takes forever to load, so check out their FB for photos :) https://www.facebook.com/ancientcedarslodge

#12 outdoor wedding venue in Greater Vancouver: Rowena’s inn or sandpiper resort

A cross between the Fraser River Lodge and a golf course, the Sandpiper Resort is not a super well known, gorgeous spot with river views to hold your outdoor wedding as well.

It’s a bit further away, but inside the Inn (see second photo underneath on the left) - it’s really nice for couples or for families staying overnight as well.

Photo from the Sandpiper Resort website, but again highly recommend searching on IG - you’ll find nicer photos.

#13 outdoor wedding venue in Vancouver: Swaneset Bay

Located in Pitt Meadows amongst the Coastal Mountains, Swaneset’s 65,000 square-foot chateau-style clubhouse is a dream magical wedding location.

There’s a couple different options for where you can hold the ceremony (the photo here doesn’t even do it justice, you have had it overlooking the chateau, main ballroom etc.

It’s a beautiful venue, just see the photos for yourself! :D

Photo from the Swaneset Bay Resort & Country Club website.

Outdoor wedding venue #14: Eagle Manor Estate

This one’s a recent find and it is so lovely! Located in Pitt Meadows, the Eagle Manor Estate is a cottage/nature style venue that is beautiful and serene.

Eagle Manor Estate is an astonishing 9.79-acre estate built in 1995, comprised of 2 lodges, a coach house, a barn and a large event hall with a commercial kitchen and bar.

Honorable Mentions for other outdoor wedding venues in Vancouver:

MOUNTAIN TOP CEREMONIES (EXAMPLE: RAINBOW GLACIER)

Also a super super super gorgeous option for an outdoor ceremony with the setting of snow-capped mountains (maybe more of a micro wedding option since you’d have to fly in by helicopter).

BLOEDEL CONSERVATORY

Really cute garden/greenhouse dome wedding ceremony location located inside Queen Elizabeth park. It’s great for an intimate ceremony, but not a particularly convenient location to get ready or also host your guests for reception/food afterwards. The rate is $740 for 2 hours. 604-654-0780.

HART HOUSE

This venue has a lawn and a water view overlooking Deer Lake. The ceremony would likely be outside, overlooking the serene lake and then reception/dinner/dance under a tent outside as well. It’s a beautiful venue but sadly it’s a bit lower on the list because there tends to be a lot of geese poop on the grass and it’s less private of a venue (there may be people taking a stroll near the lake area).

GROVELAND ESTATE IN WEST VANCOUVER

I saw on IG that someone had a super well decorated wedding here - this mansion home has a beautiful lawn that overlooks a private lake. From the websites’ photos though it looks like the neighbors seem to be quite closeby as well so may be less private.

BOS ESTATE IN ABBOTSFORD

Their IG is linked above. This is a space with a beautiful ceremony area overlooking the valley! Their current site is down but on their IG they mentioned they are open for bookings in 2023.

AMERICAN CREEK LODGE IN HOPE

A brand new mountain top lodge with a beautiful view of the Fraser Valley and its rivers. It’s nestled within the forest outside of Hope and offers 5 bedrooms for lodging.

MT. LEHMAN MEADOWS

Very rustic glam farm venue with a bright red stable. This is a working farm so lots of animals, fresh veggies and fruits here too!

+ winery weddings are gorgeous as well - I went to one in Langley a few years back but it was the couples’ own private farm. Since then I haven’t found a farmhouse venue that I personally really like.

Hope you have found this list helpful! If you have any additions, please add them below!
