The Innisfree website notes that the Jeju Orchid Eye Cream is an early-action cream that uses Orchidelixir to help brighten the skin around the eyes whilst strengthening, smoothing and nourishing the delicate skin too. The eye cream contains hyaluronic acid which is used to revitalize the skin around the eyes for healthier and brighter skin.

Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream Application

Step 1: Complete your usual cleansing routine, apply toner and serum as usual.

Step 2: Take a small pea shaped amount of eye cream on your ring finger, gently pat the product into the undereyes area and around orbital bone. Avoid the eyelids.

Step 3: If there is any excess product, apply to smile lines.

Step 4: Apply moisturizer to the rest of your face.

Tip: Allow your products to absorb into the skin for about 5-10 minutes before makeup (or going to bed) so your skincare won’t pill up or get rubbed off on your pillows.

Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream Review: Pros

The texture of this eye cream is really great if you have dry or normal skin. It’s a bit on the thicker side but very emollient (but not greasy) and absorbs easily into the skin. It’s pretty hydrating and wears well under makeup. The feel of it is really comfortable on my skin and it hasn’t caused any Milia issues for me.

The ingredient list is also pretty good for the price point, with Squalane and Niacinamide pretty early in the list. While I haven’t noticed any changes in fine lines around the eyes or experienced any of the claimed brightening effects - I can feel the difference around my eye area when I’m getting lazy with eye creams.

Cons

The orchid extract is so far down the ingredient list it’s likely less than 1% of the actual formula. I expected more for a line that’s named after this ingredient, however - using too many natural ingredients in skincare products don’t always mean it’s better for you.

It doesn’t have a strong scent and is just a light floral fragrance, but if you’re sensitive to fragrances in general I would steer away and try maybe the new-ish Dear, Klairs Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter (this is a good korean eye cream for milia prone skin).

Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream Review Summary

All in all I would recommend this eye cream to those looking for a medium thickness, hydrating but non-sticky eye cream.

The texture is really fantastic, wears well under makeup and it comes at a great price point for the amount of product you get (you only need a tiny bit at a time. You likely won’t be seeing much brightening/anti-aging effects from this but it will be really great for basic moisturization needs!
