My Honest Dr Ceuracle Kombucha Essence Review

If you’re a kombucha lover or just curious about this product at all, let’s dive right into today’s review of the Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence! Is probiotics in your essence/toner really a good thing? We’ll find out.

This product is described as Dr. Ceuracle's “ingenious multitasker that absorbs like a toner and functions as a cream-essence hybrid, the Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence is perfect for all skin types. Combining the fortifying abilities of kombucha tea extract with plant botanicals and nourishing seed oil, this vegan formula is made to create a glowing, vibrant complexion, especially when skin feels overly tight or dry, or oily on the surface yet dehydrated. Rich in probiotics and Vitamin B, kombucha extract helps to strengthen the skin and prevent the damaging effects of oxidation while balancing hydration. Green tea and Omija fruit extract, both powerful antioxidants, further hydrate and protect. Sunflower seed oil additionally nourishes and aids in a supple glow”.

When I received this product, it really looked like a bottle of kombucha/milk tea in a frosty glass bottle. It was so yummy looking I wanted to drink it (or maybe I’m just always dehydrated haha). But it actually felt really nice on the skin, and to my surprise, felt pretty soothing!

Dr Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence - looks delicious, I was so excited I shook it up already before realizing I should’ve taken a before image too (it’s a cool duo texture milky plus tea essence).

Dr Ceuracle Kombucha Essence Review - Quick Facts:

Formulation: cruelty-free, vegan, scent-free, PEG-free, paraben-free

Scent: scent-free

Texture: Milk and tea-like duo texture prior to being shaken

Price: $39 CAD

Where to buy: Esmea.ca (based in Montreal, QC)

Main pros: The biggest pro is that it looks cool, smells cool and feels nice. It helps with consistently dry skin, dehydrated skin, dull skin or imbalanced skin. Depending on your skin type, you’re supposed to use it in different ways. For oily skin, you can use it with a cotton round just as one layer over your skin. For dry skin you can pat in up to 3 layers to really hydrate the skin prior to using your serum and moisturizing.

Main cons: My first gripe is that after a week or so of using this, I haven’t really noticed any major changes in my skin other than a little bit of hydration. I will update back though if I notice anything past week two. Also, while it says oily skin types can use this, it definitely leaves your skin more glowy. So for oily skin types I’d recommend just the Isntree Green Tea toner (review here) instead. That one is more refreshing, has a simpler ingredients list and leaves skin more mattified. Also, if you have fungal acne or existing acne, avoid fermented ingredients altogether.

How To Use:

  1. After cleansing, shake well and apply an even layer to the face. Multiple layers optional.

  2. Pat gently for full absorption.

  3. TIP: For oily skin, use a single layer. For combination skin, layer on twice. For dry skin, use 3 or more layers for a supple glow.

Is Dr Ceuracle Kombucha essence a toner?

The Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence is perfect for use like a toner or essence. If you have more oily skin, you can just use it like a toner, if you have more combo to dry skin, you can layer it on like an essence for more moisture.

Summing Up:

All in all, I think this one is a fun product that feels nice on the skin. It also smells nice. If you’ve been curious about it, the kombucha toner is worth a try! I’m enjoying using it at the moment but unsure if I’ll be repurchasing when I’m finished.
