Curél Intensive Moisture Cream Review [ In-Depth]

It’s winter. The lightweight gel moisturizers just aren’t cutting it anymore. If you’ve been looking for a super hydrating and comfortable heavy-duty moisturizer to help you out - you have to check out the Curel Intensive Moisture Cream.

Let’s dive in to the in-depth review! (Spoiler alert, this has made it onto my all-time favourite products list!)

About the Curél Intensive Moisture Cream

The Curél website notes that the moisturizer is light-as-air which intensely nourishes and comforts the skin. And I’d have to agree - the ‘intensive moisture cream’ part does sound like it’d be super thick and hard to spread but this is surprisingly lightweight.

It leaves the skin with a healthy glow and is designed specifically for dry and sensitive skin.

The moisturizer helps to fill up the ‘ceramide reservoir‘ which improves the skin’s natural barrier function. (I’m not too sure what that really means but it works!!)

Potential irritants: Methylparaben, sodium hydroxide is a potential irritant but is low, dimethicone can potentially lead to acne and clogged cores.

Curél Intensive Moisture Cream Pros

This is a lightweight moisturizer that is soothing, rich and nourishing. It hydrates the skin well and makes for a great night cream. The Curel Intensive Moisture Cream contains ceramides which keeps the skin soft and resistant to external irritation.

Cons

Contains parabens and can be a bit clogging for pores which can irritate acne (do not recommend if you’re acne-prone, but this cream helps when my skin’s feeling a bit sensitive from the dry cold Canadian winters).

Also, for the price point, it does come in a rather small pot which some people are unhappy with.

Curél Intensive Moisture Cream Review Summary

This would be a great staple winter moisturizing cream to try out for combo/dry skin gals. It doesn’t irritate your skin and sits well with other active serums since it’s such a basic moisturizer. I’m personally loving this for the wintertime!!

Just to reiterate again, if you’re sensitive to scents, you might want to opt for some other options! I have a list of my all-time favourite skincare products here.
